The Founder – Edmund Tham
Edmund Tham, a graphic design graduate with years of experience in the advertising and events management industry, developed the love for photography during his teenage years while working as an assistant in a photography studio. His love affair with photography blossomed over the years and breathed life to Edmund Tham Photography. His vision is simple: To boost the level of Malaysian wedding photography making it on par with international standard. Edmund Tham chooses to specialise in wedding photography as he is inspired by each couple’s love story and the nature of their relationship which he tries to capture in every shot. Preferring shots that are more candid and conceptual, his adopts the photojournalistic style and specialises in outdoor photography. Edmund Tham believes that great photography goes beyond skilled hands and technical know-how. Most importantly, it requires an expressive mind, a keen eye and a kindred heart to grasp the finer details, thus revealing emotions that speak volumes. He is one of the only three Asians who received the Top 100 Photographer Award from The Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), a professional organisation for photojournalists and wedding photographers worldwide.
