Great Photo, Great Eyes - Signature Photographers Workshop
10th August 2008, Kuala Lumpur – Informative, breathtaking and exceptional were some of the words used by couples to describe the “Great Photo, Great Eyes” Workshop that was conducted by the Signature Photographers recently.

Held in Hotel Imperial, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, the event lasted approximately 3 hours and saw all 7 of the Signature Photographers covering very informative topics that ranged from the benefits of engaging a professional photographer, to searching and selecting the preferred photographer all the way to how to be creative with wedding portraiture as well as posing techniques.

There were also some mouth watering lucky draw prizes on offer, prime among them was a Wedding Portraiture Shoot by none other than the “Dream Team” themselves, all seven of the Signature Photographers. The lucky winners of this grand prize is Eric & Ho Yan.

Hosted by Ann Tan and Nigel Skelchy of Just Heavenly, the presence of local celebrities Will Quah and Nell Ng who were special guests, added further gloss to the event which was a first of it’s kind workshop in seeing the coming together of 7 well respected and talented photographers from the wedding industry. With the primary aim of bringing International Standards to Malaysia, setting and maintaining standards of professionalism and generally lifting the profile of the wedding photography industry, the Signature Photographers look well equipped (Most are International Award Winning Photographers) and are looking well on their way to achieving these goals if the very evident togetherness of the group is anything to go by. Seen to be openly providing each other with emotional and moral support by way of hugs and cheers before and after each presentation, the group demonstrated a closeness rarely found in groupings as large as one that contains 7 different individuals.
The group were quick to point out that the event was organized with the support of various sponsors such as WeddingsByEternal, Pretty in White, Nikon, Photobook, De Rain Atelier, Just Scan, Classic & Vintage, Beauty Haven, WeddingIsle, EventsWizards and many others. According to a spokesperson, “Great Photo, Great Eyes” was to be the first of many more events and activities from the talented group. It was also revealed that the projects that they were looking to embark on does not only include awareness and education, but also charity as all 7 of them revealed that “giving back” was something close to their hearts.

Series of Award-Winning Shots from 2007 & 2008
I’m started join WPJA on early 2007 and i’m not active on joining all this photo competitions. Because i found out it’s quite expensive to join all this competitions. Until i met Patrick from Exes-Studio, he is the one who advise me to takes part on all this WPJA or [AG]WPJA photo competitions. He said if you win an award there will get a metal logo on the listing and it makes you stand up from others WPJA or [AG]WPJA Members. I started take part on Quarter 3 of 2007.
Until today, i won total of 9 photos from these WPJA & [AG]WPJA contests and i listed to World’s Top 80 WPJA Wedding Photographers in year 2007 and World’s Top 35 [AG]WPJA Wedding Photographers in year 2007. It’s really made a lots different from last year. I would like to say a big thanks to Patrick for his guidance.

Sneak Previews of Bali Shots
“Finally, I (we) are back from Bali! It was an exhausting trip but we had fun and it was a very productive one as well. Total we went 10 days, 6 working days, 4 Pre Weddings and many locations. The sceneries in Bali, as usual, are wonderful and the weather was nice. Hopefully, our clients also enjoyed the trip and the shooting sessions with us. I bet I will return to Bali once again next year as I am already missing the food, the sceneries and the people there! Here are some sneak previews of the shots we took there while I processed the rest of it…

Away to Shooting in Bali
I will be on my 2rd trip to Bali from today onwards, 28th July till the 6th August. Will be assisting 4 couples prewedding shoot. Hopefully, I will have some time to upload some photos during my stay in Bali. Although this time I will be going on a job assignment, I hope that I can still feel the homely and peaceful feelings Bali have always been giving to me, :). Perhaps one day, I shall build my home there, when I retired! SO, that’s it for now, signing off from Kuala Lumpur!

Yong Fei & Wei Lee Wedding, 6th July 08
Yong Fei & Wei Lee both working at Singapore. They got to know me through website & hotel recommendation. Both Yong Fei & Wei Lee are very friendly and their entourages are very happening & full of ideas. The entourages T-Shirt written there “Brothers Forever”, i like the idea. Bernard & Santhi Wedding 28th June 08
Ah Keong, Edmund, Bernard & Santhi on the way to church…
Bernard is one of my EX Client Foong Kuin neighbour. We went through our conversation by email and i first met Bernard & Santhi at Foong Kuin Wedding dinner. After they saw Foong Kuin slideshow at the dinner and they call me few days after and confrimed with my package. Bernard & Santhi both just moved in to their new house at Desa Park City. I still remember i went to their house 4 days before for the briefing and found out their house is still under renovations. But everything is done on the wedding day, it’s amazing!!! They both are very friendly person, they treat us like their guests. We are enjoy and having fun together. Here are some of the interesting shots from their wedding…
